Christopher J. Asterino, Chairman & CEO
Mr. Asterino is in his third decade of owning and operating medical
billing and medical practice management companies that have
consistently excelled in growth, customer service and earnings. He has
extensive experience and expertise in the management of healthcare
receivables. He has devoted his career to building an organization that
develops and relies on relationships with both employees and clients.

Brenda Maccioli, R.N., Vice President-Operations
Ms. Maccioli is entering her fourth decade in healthcare and currently oversees day to day operations at Asterino and Associates, Inc. She has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years and her experience in the medical field covers a variety of clinical nursing experiences in both hospitals and physician’s offices. Her expertise and leadership in the area of clinical coding for Emergency Medicine, Radiology and Surgery have had a significant impact on the revenue cycle for Asterino and Associates, Inc clients. Her extensive experience in accounts receivable management and medical billing combined with her clinical background provide for a unique perspective for clients on a variety of complicated issues. She received her undergraduate degree from Ohio State University and a Masters Degree in Psychology from Ottawa University. |

Anthony S. Asterino, CPA, Vice President of Corprorate Development Mr. Asterino is approaching his fourth decade in the healthcare industry where he has applied his financial expertise as a CPA to the business of physician reimbursement across the United States. He is currently an Adjunct Faculty Member of a teaching hospital with an emergency medicine residence program where he provides practice management lectures to first, second and third year EM residents with respect to billing, coding, employment agreements and personal financial planning. In addition to his 25 years in private practice as a Certified Public Accountant, he has extensive experience in accounts receivable management services as well as practice management experience such as litigation support, securing capital for expansions, valuation of medical practices, economic modeling, pension planning and design, cash management and budgeting. Barb Hunter, R.N., CPC Ms. Hunter currently provides client documentation in-servicing, medical coding and chart audits for our emergency medicine accounts. Barb has over 28 years of clinical experience and is responsible for documentation guideline standards and compliance established by the Office of Inspector General (OIG). She has successfully represented A&A clients in chart documentation audits and appeals with intermediary (CMS) and other third party payer insurance companies. Barb’s nursing experience includes positions at the prestigious Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA and Catholic Health Systems East at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY in their CCU and Cardio-Pulmonary Surgery Intensive Care and Emergency Departments. Barb graduated from American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1985 with her Bachelors’ of Science Degree in Nursing, obtained nursing certification in the states of New York and Massachusetts and is certified by the American Academy of Professional Coders.

Cindy Reber, Operations Director
Ms. Reber oversees the daily operation at Asterino and Associates. Since joining A&A in 2003, Cindy has held several positions with in the revenue cycle and is currently the Director of day to day operations. Prior to joining A&A, Cindy was a small business owner where her responsibilities included profit and loss performance, leadership and supervision, client relations, inventory control, purchasing and quality control. Her prior experience also includes over seven years in the banking industry. |

Ron Amodio, Director of Corprorate Development
Mr. Amodio is responsible for Asterino & Associates business development in the Southwest. He brings nearly 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry to Asterino & Associates, Inc. In his thirteen years with PCS Health Systems he gained extensive insight into the pharmaceutical and provider side of the industry. His last four years at PCS were spent in a management capacity. Most recently he held the position of Division Manager for Primestaff LLC, a medical staffing company where he was responsible for sales and developing strategic relationships. He held various positions over 5 years at Primestaff, LLC and earned the Presidents Club Award for his sales production in 2006. Ron graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Telecommunication. |

Scott Sink, Manager, Programming
Mr. Sink possesses over 18 years of
medical computer programming and has written multiple innovative
programs now sold in 38 states. In addition to his technical expertise,
his practical medical experience includes four years as Practice
Administrator for two orthopedic practices, and four years in
administration for a multi provider radiology group. Mr. Sink has
hosted numerous medical collection seminars and is considered a medical
efficiency expert working to create efficiencies in medical offices by
uniting personnel and technology. In his current position as
Programming Manager, Mr. Sink is responsible for creating and
maintaining the data import programs that allow the firm to receive a
variety of different data formats from various hospital systems. The
import programs then generate the billing data for use in the
company’s data system.

Beth Gillespie, Executive Assistant
Ms. Gillespie is responsible for all aspects of administrative support to the CEO and the Sr. Management team. This includes the compiling of month end reports, creating and distributing company policy and procedure communications, generating and maintaining client operation manuals and purchasing and inventory control of office supplies. Ms. Gillespie also coordinates the office social events, company meetings, seminars and other off-site business activities for all employees. Beth joined A&A in 2003 after 17 years in administrative positions in the travel industry. |

Gretta Morgan, Clinical Coder
Ms. Morgan brings six years coding
experience in radiology from a practice serving multiple hospitals
throughout the Phoenix area. She has extensive knowledge of all
modalities of radiology coding with a focus on interventional
radiology. She received her Certified Professional Coder certificate
from the American Academy of Professional Coders in 2002. Ms. Morgan
joined the coding department at Asterino and Associates, Inc. in June
of 2006, where she easily adapted to the upbeat pace and accuracy
required for the high quality of service the department provides.

Mary McEntee, Customer Service Manager
Ms. McEntee was recruited to the healthcare industry after a
distinguished 28-year career in the telecommunications industry with
Pac Bell, GTE and Verizon. Her experience in telecommunications
includes services for the 1984 Olympics and the wiring and testing of
all data circuits for the international terminal at Los Angeles
International Airport. She also held a position at the Verizon
Operations Center in Dallas as a Level II and III Technical Support
Manager for hardware and software on Nortel DMS 100/200 switches in the
Verizon network, including Air Force bases around the world. Her
background in customer service and delivering projects on time and on
budget has been a tremendous asset during significant growth of the
firm over the last five years. Ms. McEntee is currently manager of the
Customer Service/Research Department.

Dolores Chavez, Manager, Accounts Receivable
Ms. Chavez currently manages the A/R department at Asterino and Associates. She has extensive experience with accounts receivable and all aspects of processing medical claims, including knowledge of government programs, HIPAA regulations and employer compliancy policies. Prior to joining A&A, Dolores managed the A/R department at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, a pediatric specialty hospital with 345 beds. Her background also includes 6 years of medical billing and collecting, 2 years of accounts receivable processing and 7 years as front and back office coordinator for Planned Parenthood of America. Dolores graduated from San Joaquin Valley College.

Franz DeVilbiss, Account Manager
Mr. DeVilbiss joined Asterino and Associates, Inc. in 2003, performing
various functions in charge entry, payment posting and accounts
receivable processing. He quickly became proficient in all areas of his
position and advanced to Account Manager in 2004. His previous
experience as Supervisor for MSN included a range of mechanical and
procedural skills, as well as customer service and remote system
analysis. He currently manages the data base maintenance processes for
all Asterino and Associates client accounts.

Daniel Randis, IT Specialist
Mr. Randis has nearly 20 years of information technology experience, ranging from developing software tools for various companies to trouble-shooting complex issues and executing solutions. In addition, he is well versed with software and hardware installation and upgrades. Dan joined A&A in the first quarter of 2007 and is responsible for creating and administering all internal and external reporting, which include both standard and custom reports. Dan is also the work station administrator as well as the web editor for Asterino and Associates.

Our Customer Service
Representatives are very familiar with the clients they represent. They
use their knowledge and expertise to provide accurate and helpful
information applicable to each individual situation. They assist
patients with billing and payment options, while interacting with
representatives from various insurance carriers to insure all claims
are processed properly and payments due to our clients are collected.

Coding
Before a claim can be
submitted for payment, the procedure must have the correct code applied
for proper billing. Our coding department is staffed with certified
coders armed with many years of experience in the complexities of CPT
Codes, modifiers, and the art of diagnosis coding. This enables them to
accurately and effectively code the thousands of procedures performed
by our clients each month.

Payment Posting
Our Payment Posting
division is responsible for entering thousands of patient payments into
our database each month. Their position is crucial to the accurate and
timely records we maintain for our clients. As payments are posted to
individual accounts, each accounts is closely monitored for any
additional outstanding payments due, which triggers the follow up
actions of our A/R department. Together they insure the accuracy of our
patient accounts.

Account Receivables
Asterino & Associates
has developed the most thorough and effective follow up procedures in
the industry. Our A/R representatives are experts in the research,
correction and re-submittal of denied claims, along with written
appeals. Their experience enables them to consistently increase
collection ratios on previously denied claims, and their efforts result
in an above average return for our clients.

Information Technology
Our I.T. team provides
both in house and remote support to our clients and employees.
Using the most current technology developments and enhancements enables
us to provide the highest level of service for the most efficient and
accurate exchange of information. We are a Dell Supplier and a
Gold Level dealer of NDC/MediSoft Patient Accounting Systems. We
also provide installation and support for these items when purchased
through A&A. This enables us to offer dependable I.T.
services in addition to the products essential to managing a successful
medical practice.
